- When snail mail ment something By:
Jan Michaels Views: 150
Some of us reading this may not realize that before email, there was just the United State Post Office delivering our precious mail thru rain, sleet, snow and dogs with bad attitudes. And even if it took them 50 years (yep, it really happened) they would deliver you're mail to whomever was still alive by then
- Beauty should be in the eyes of the beholder By:
Jan Michael Views: 130
Marilyn Monroe had six toes. Connie stiler also has six toes ... Which fact do you find more interesting? My guess is it's Marilyn, and thats mostly because she was packaged (and still is) as a model of stunning beauty, desire and perfection. Yet, the truth is that Marilyn was not perfect by the very standards of the business that convinced everyone that she was the woman men wanted or that women had to look like to BE wanted. Still, most believed it then, and continue to believe this fantasy today.
- Opposites Do Attract By:
Jan Micheals Views: 113
I've come to the conclusion (and it's only taken me 50 years) that Opposites DO Attract!
Of course there has been ton's of evidence of this since time began, but being from Missouri, you have to show me the donkey before I believe there is such a thing as a donkey. Anyway, I had to laugh recently when I read an article claiming that men and women should share the same hobbies, interests and in essence be the same person for love to really have a chance to grow..
- You may be in love if... By:
Jan Michaels Views: 104
One of the most common human experiences that two or more (depending on how ambitious you are) people can share is love. But, it’s not always easy to tell if you are in like, lust or full blown, forever loving. With that in mind, I’ve created this list of signs that you may be crazy in love!
- Replacing your video card By:
Jan Michaels Views: 101
Has your computer's video card died or do you just want to upgrade it to a newer, faster card? well, if you are lost when it comes to the inside of a computer, then here is an easy step by step installation guide just for you!
- Clearing the browser cache By:
Jan Micheals Views: 94
I dare you to look in your browser's cache of saved files. You might be surprised at seeing many megabytes of files wasting space. Not only that, but tracking cookies, adware and malicious files may be sitting there sending your info to someone else.
- More things I have learned By:
Jan Michaels Views: 85
Growing old does have one benefit ... experience. So, I am continuing here to share my vast pool of knowledge. Of course my girlfriend can't resist telling me I need to clean the pool, but heres the list anyway.
- Getting the best price for your new car By:
Jan Michaels Views: 71
In 1955, a Ford Thunderbird cost $2,944.00. Today, the same car costs what my parents paid for their home, so buying a new car is no small investment. You want to do everything possible to ensure you get the best deal.
